About Hockey Science & Technology

We provide digital marketing and business development services to hockey skill centres, arenas and organization. Our primary services include iPhone application development, website application development, social network planning and market surveys.

Hockey Science & Technology's mission is to increase the amount of time and information that a minor hockey player receives for skill development, conditioning, proper nutrition, safety awareness, equipment maintenance, game knowledge and character building.

The need for player development, team management, travel, funding and finding availability of hockey related products and services combined with the intense passion that the hockey community has for this sport has inspired us to present The Hockey Season (www.TheHockeySeason.com)

About The Hockey Season Weight Loss Challenge
The Challenge is designed to raise awareness about proper nutrition and exercise for members of the ice hockey community.The effect of this should result in a decrease of weight for those who are deemed over-weight for their age, height, gender, and ethnicity.

Participation in the Challenge
Participation in the Challenge is voluntary.Do not succumb to peer pressure. There are no prizes just many small victories.Active participation will require you to make changes inyour lifestyle.Things that could change are what you purchase at your grocery store, how you prepare meals, your eating habits, your daily schedule, people you associate with, physical activity, clothing (possibly your fashion) and your children's attitudes and behaviour.Please consult with your physician, psychiatrist, or life coach if you feel that participation will negatively affect your health or emotions.

Participation may result in you feeling good and looking good. Results will vary for each person.

We will provide tips, advice and encouragement from external resources via our digital media.If you feel that you are not benefiting from this information, please consult a professional weight loss or wellness company.

Details
The Challenge opens on August 15, 2010 and ends December 31, 2010. You must join by November 30, 2010. Registration is required. Only your Nick Name will be shared on the Challenge website. The Nick Name will be associated with your Age Group, Gender, Prov/State, Progress, Ranking, Indexes. Your First Name, Last Name, Weight, Weight Goal is not shared with the public.

If you decide to participate in a Challenge team, only your Nick Name, Rankings and Indexes will be made available to other members of the team.

Rankings are determined by Progress over Time and Progress relative to the Size of your Goal over Time. Results are subject to participants’ frequency of actual weight updating and accuracy of weight entered (honesty).

Account Registration
Registration is free. Registration is open to anyone in the countries listed in the Country drop down menu.

General Rules
  1. Do not use starvation as a method to attain your desired weight.
  2. Update your weight in your account weekly
  3. Be honest about your weight
  4. Have fun with the Challenge
Application Performance
Hockey Science & Technology will regularly review the effectiveness of the Weight Loss Challenge web service to ensure that account and end-user experience is an positive one. Modifications to the service maybe made without notice to account holders.

Server outages will prevent access to the web service. We will notify you of scheduled outages on our Between Games blog (http://betweenicegames.blogspot.com/).

Release from liability
Hockey Science & Technology and parent company DSL Services Inc., its divisions, employees, dealers, agents, sponsors, advertisers or suppliers are not liable for any death, physical or emotional injury, extra marital affairs, divorce, food expenses, food related illnesses or clothing expenses as a result of your participation in this program.

Database use
Hockey Science & Technology will not sell or share your account information in whole or in part to any third party. Hockey Science & Technology may contact you through email to present, promote, or offer you information, products or services directly associated to its business or on behalf of a third party that is deemed relevant to our business.
